Frequently Asked Questions

Can the DragonBox Pyra play PS2 and GameCube games? expand_more

The OpenPandora GmbH DragonBox Pyra is powered by the Texas Instruments OMAP 5432 processor. For PS2 and GameCube emulation, it is not powerful enough to run full-speed 3D titles. We recommend looking into Odin 2 or Retroid Pocket 4 Pro for flawless PS2.

What is the best custom firmware (CFW) for DragonBox Pyra? expand_more

The community overwhelmingly recommends Stock OS. It drastically improves boot time, enables instant deep sleep, and provides cleaner RetroArch hotkey integrations.

Should I replace the stock MicroSD card that came in the box? expand_more

Yes, absolutely. Generic unbranded MicroSD cards included with budget handhelds frequently suffer corrupted save files within 2 to 4 weeks. Always flash your firmware onto a branded card from SanDisk, Samsung, or Kioxia.
